Acupuncture

It is a Traditional Chinese Medicine used for centuries, especially for treatment of pain. Some practitioners use this modality for anaesthetic effect. during surgeries.

The practitioner inserts needles into the persons specific acupuncture points along acupuncture meridians (energetic channels in the body) to induce stimulation of Qi -energy.

Acupuncture points are stimulated by rotating needles until the patient feels a tight twisting sensation. Individual points have specific therapeutic effects on the body’s organs, channels and vital energy.

General sessions may last fifteen to thirty minutes. Being relaxed, calm, quiet and positive helps patients maximize the benefits of acupuncture treatments.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed in the eighteenth century by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann.
The effects of homeopathic remedies are studied through ‘provings’ on healthy individuals.

Homeopathy is based on two unconventional theories:
“Like cures like”—the notion that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people “Law of minimum dose”— the notion that the lower the dose of the medication, the greater its effectiveness.

Many homeopathic products are so diluted that no molecules of the original substance remain.

Homeopathic products come from plants, minerals or animals. Homeopathic treatments are “individualized” or tailored to each person— it’s common for different people with the same condition to receive different treatments.

N

Bowen Therapy

The Bowen Technique is a specific series of muscle and connective tissue movements used to send messages to the central nervous system.

Much like a computer operator, the Bowen therapist must hit the “keys” in the right order to access the bodies computer. Accessing the right program restores optimum homeostasis in the body. Because Bowen Therapy works on the vibrational level (i.e. nerves etc.) other therapies may interfere with the changes set up by the Bowen treatment.

This is why you may be asked to avoid other treatments for the next 5-10 days. You may also notice changes taking place in your body over the next week. These instructions, if followed, will increase the effectiveness of the Bowen treatment.

Bowen Therapy is helpful in treatment of acute and chronic pain through proper alignment of bodily structures.

Healthy Nutrition

The role of Nutrition is to provide our body with:

– all the nutrients that are needed for optimal health and growth

– every reaction that occurs in the body requires sufficient amounts of protein, carbohydrates and fats, as well as specific macro and micronutrients, fibre, enzymes, vitamins and minerals

– Individualized nutritional protocols are important, as every person is very unique and special

– following optimal nutrition with the help of supplementation needed at the time is able to bring a person from illness to vital health

– through proper nutritional guidelines the body is able to not only nourish, but also detoxify on daily basis, therefore decreasing the toxic burden that leads to chronic conditions.
